Haircut

Last Sunday I picked Eric up from Primary. The teacher came out in the hall to talk to me. He said that when he turned around to write something on the board, Eric cut a girl's hair. Then I saw the girl holding her lock. The teacher assured me that other than that incident, Eric did fine! Good thing because I don't see how it could get much worse. Later, Eric said that the girl told him to cut her hair. I guess it was just a big misunderstanding, but he's still grounded from video games for a month:(

Nightmares

On Saturday, Eric really wanted to go on a daddy date. I took him to Albertsons to return our Redbox movie rental. (By the way, if you haven't checked out Redbox yet, you should. They rent movies from vending machines at grocery stores or McDonalds for $1 per day. Several times per month they email us codes for a free rental. http://www.redbox.com) Then we went to Costco for gas, which was very cheap at only $2.91 per gallon. Then, we went to Toys R Us.

Eric had saved up a little of his allowance, and it was burning a hole in his pocket. After I talked him out of a sidewalk spraypainting set, he settled on some rollerblades. On the way home, he said to me, "It is a good thing I got those rollerblades." I asked him why. He responded, "Because sometimes when I see a toy that I could afford and I don't buy it, I have nightmares." I asked him what the nightmares are about, and he said they're about not getting the toy.

New Baby

So you've probably all heard already that we are having another baby. We just found out this past Sunday. We did one of those home pregnancy tests. I should have taken a picture of the test for proof and to post on here, but I didn't. Oh well.
We did take some videos of the kids receiving the news. The baby should be born around the end of September. We're really excited. The kids are especially excited.
It was nice to talk to some of you for a while as we were breaking the news. Jeff is doing well. He now drives a convertible BMW. Kevin is in charge of fitness for his squadron. He's going to do some triathlons this year. If you want more details, you'll have to ask them. I hope they don't get upset at me for putting this on our blog.

P90X

Santa brought us the P90X workout system for Christmas. It has twelve different workouts ranging from plyometrics to yoga. After having done the workouts for only a week, we are convinced that it is a great program. The workouts are very challenging.

It also came with a program for proper eating. We are enjoying the new variety of meals. It has been a lot of work getting organized and getting all the necessary items, but it's not to hard to eat right.

First Post

We got a new digital camera for Christmas (thanks parents). It takes videos too. We tried to email some Christmas videos to family, but hotmail said the attachments were to big. As an alternative, we're going to try posting the videos to this blog. Let's hope it works for everyone.

Just what he always wished for. They seem to say that about every gift even if it is something they've never seen or heard of before. They are very grateful kids. (In this case, he really did want the goals for a while now).
